Molybdenum market quotation in China: the prices of ferro molybdenum, molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide decline slightly in early July, which promotes more downstream entering the market to consume.
In the molybdenum concentrate market, the transaction prices are mostly at a low level. The price of 40-45% molybdenum concentrate is about 1300 yuan/ton. Due to the relatively large number of tenders from steel mills, the market pressure is effectively alleviated; In the ferro molybdenum market, orders increase when prices are low at about $13,235.3/t, which makes ferro manufacturers face risks of price inversion. Prices of molybdenum chemical products have fallen with the decline in raw material prices, but it is still difficult to attract investors. At present, end customers basically maintain rigid demand.
