Molybdenum market quotation in China: the latest prices of sodium molybdate, ammonium molybdate and ammonium heptamolvbdate dropped slightly because market confidence was hard to boost as a result of imbalanced supply and demand.
In the molybdenum concentrate market, the overall activity is low. Due to the slow recovery of downstream demand, some merchants have indicated that the sales of goods are not in good condition, the inventory of molybdenum concentrate has increased, and the storage pressure is relatively high. However, due to cost support, traders are reluctant to sell at low prices; in the ferromolybdenum market, the new round of steel mill bidding is slightly sluggish, thus increasing the risk of cost reversal, causing some intermediate smelters to rationally limit the release of capacity; molybdenum chemical and its products market is quiet, the terminal demand is difficult to recover in the long run, so sellers remain cautious at present.
