Molybdenum market quotation in China: the latest prices of ferromolybdenum and ammonium molybdate rise slightly while molybdenum powder price remains stable. Returning from the Spring Festival Holiday, miners have limited spot goods, but steel mills issued buy tenders and prices of ferro molybdenum edged higher. Also affected by the rise in international molybdenum prices, market participants now have good expectations for the outlook.
China’s TPCO issued buy tender for 200 tons of ferro molybdenum at RMB 110,000/t; two steel mills in Jiangsu, Hubei province plan to buy 490 tons of ferro molybdenum in February at RMB 109,800-111,000/t; a steel mill in Jiangxi province issued buy tender for 200 tons at RMB 108,800/t.
