China molybdenum market is still in a stalemate as a result of sluggish stainless steel industry. As steel mills are not active in purchasing raw materials, prices of steel biddings are under pressure and market confidence is weakened. Some of them even consider profit-taking for more sales to ease pressure of funds while others transfer their stress to the cost side.
The trading activity in the molybdenum concentrate market becomes slow. At present, insiders are waiting for the next move in environmental protection checks, steel biddings and replenishment of downstream factories.
