The molybdenum oxide and alloy markets in China stabilized on different mentalities of buyers and sellers and low spot trading activity. The supply in the tungsten concentrate market is limited by Chinese environmental protection, supporting sellers’ offer levels.
For ferro molybdenum market, steel biddings failed to meet market expectations and thus further weakened market confidence, coupled with big profit margins of manufacturers, customers remain low buying interests. The deadlocked supply and demand will continue in the short term.
Last week, ZPSS issued buy tenders for 120 tons of ferro molybdenum at RMB 135,000 per ton, down RMB 1,000 per ton; BX STEEL issued buyer tender for 30 tons at RMB 136,000 per ton, up RMB 2,000 per ton.
