Molybdenum Market Looks Stable In 2016–Stainless Producer

The outlook in Europe appears relatively stable heading into 2016 for molybdenum containing steel grades, according to a producer.
"We are preparing ourselves for more or less the same figures we had in 2015," he told Metal Bulletin. This is not necessarily a good thing for the market, however, as a repeat of 2015 would mean depressed prices and low spot demand. Metal Bulletin's ferro-molybdenum and molybdic oxide prices have both seen multi-year lows, at $12.40-12.50 per kg and $4.50-4.70 per lb respectively.
