Molybdenum Rhenium Alloy composed by adding 2%-5% Rhenium into balanced Molybdenum. The strength and plasticity of molybdenum can be improved when Rhenium was added in it.
When 35% Rhenium adds into balanced Molybdenum, its rolling deformation can up to 90% under the room temperature. Molybdenum Rhenium Alloy can be used as high-speed rotating X-ray tube,.
It also can be used as core heat pipes in space reactor, furnaces heating. Then tensile strength, ductility, electrical resistivity of Molybdenum Rhenium Alloy are increasing with the increasing of rhenium content.
