Different La2O3 influence TZM Alloy’s Tensile Strength

After analysis the research data found that as the annealing temperature increase, the tensile strength of the alloy TZM decline. What’s more, adding La2O3 which is different content the tensile strength of the alloy TZM is different. The tensile strength of Rolled TZM alloy is 914MPa, after 1000 ℃ annealing the tensile strength of it decrease to 719MPa, with annealing temperature increasing, the tensile strength decreased rapidly. Tensile strength after 1600 ℃ annealing decrease at 461MPa. However, TZM alloy added 0.1% La2O3, the tensile strength is 921MPa, after 1000 ℃ annealing the tensile strength decrease to 838MPa, with annealing temperature increasing, the tensile strength decreased but didn’t so rapidly. After 1600 ℃ annealing, tensile strength of La2O3-TZM is 513MPa. From this we will know that the TZM alloy adding La2O3 the tensile strength is higher than TZM alloy. Besides, with the increase of annealing temperature tensile strength of La2O3-TZM decreased slowly than TZM alloy.
In addition, TZM alloy added 0.6% La2O3, the tensile strength of it is 963MPa, after 1000 ℃ annealing the tensile strength decrease to 513MPa, and after 1600 ℃ annealing the tensile strength of it is 513MPa. It can be seen, with the increase of La2O3 content, TZM alloy tensile strength also increased significantly.
