By observing titanium zirconium molybdenum (TZM) alloy do XRD patterns found that although different content elements Re adding in alloy, the phase composition of titanium-zirconium-molybdenum alloy are mainly Mo single-phase. And other elements have low content so without a significant diffraction peaks. However, when amplify the local peak can clearly see that with different amount of Re elements adding, Mo diffraction peaks offset high angles, and with the increase of the amount of Re the shift more and more evident.
Related scholars calculated according to Prague found high angle spacing means the interplanar spacing reduced. Mo atomic radius is 2.01 and Re is 1.97 which has similar radius. When the Re-Mo alloying will cause lattice distortion and it will result XRD angle excursion. Moreover, Re is close-packed hexagonal, Mo for the body-centered cubic crystal system, so when the two alloying need to overcome cohesion pressure which produced when atomic rearrangements, so that the Re-Mo and Mo alloy matrix will occurs cracks.
