Titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy (TZM) is a high-temperature alloy by adding a certain amount of Ti and Zr in molybdenum, it is a kind of solid solution hardening and grain strengthening molybdenum-based alloy, which contains 0.50% titanium, 0.08% zirconium and 0.02% carbide. Adding Ti and Zr in molybdenum so there are Mo-Ti solid solution and dispersion particle appears, therefore molybdenum-based to give a Mo-Ti solid solution strengthening and TiC particle dispersion strengthening.
TZM has a high crystallization temperature, high strength and good ductility. On the other hand it also has good thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and low vapor pressure, thereby facilitating processing. Because of its unique properties, which are widely used in many fields.
TZM is mainly used in the field are as following:element isostatic pressing, sintering and heat treatment furnaces, rotating anode use for medical diagnosis, boats annealing and sintering process, injection molding hot runner nozzle tool, light alloy die castings and so on.
