Molybdenum disulfide is the most common natural form of molybdenum, used as a lubricant directly after extraction from ore purification. Since the layered structure of molybdenum disulfide, which is a very effective lubricant. ● Unlike graphite, molybdenum disulfide, and its low coefficient of friction (0.03 to 0.06), the gas is not caused by the adsorption film or lubricity inherent in it; 

● strong affinity for metal; 

● has a film forming structure; 

● The yield strength of up to 3450 MPa (500 one thousand pounds / square inch); 

● have stability in most solvents; 

● in the air, has an excellent lubricating property under low 350 ℃ (1200 ℃ under an inert or vacuum conditions) 

 

Sulfur compound solution and water-soluble molybdenum compound mixed with lubricity and corrosion resistance in the cutting fluid and the metal molding material. Oil-soluble molybdenum sulfur compounds, such as dithiophosphates and dithiocarbamates, to avoid engine wear, oxidation and corrosion.
