With the advantage of high strength, high melting point, wear resistance etc. molybdenum, which is widely applied to all industries, is a kind of rare metal. Molybdenum mainly exists in the form of metal sulfide minerals including single mineral and paragenetic mineral. Molybdenum has imbalanced distribution all over the world, which is mainly concentrated in America, China, Chile, Canada and Russia. The production of molybdenum account for 90% of the total production.

 

Our molybdenum products were extracted from molybdenite concentrate, and have two kind of smelting method (incineration process and hydrometallurgical approach). The main products are molybdenum iron, molybdenum powder, ammonium molybdate etc..

 

Molybdenum iron

There are two kinds of methods to produce molybdenum iron

1)smelting in the furnace with the reductant of carbon, which is called as accumulated process

2)perrin process: taking silicon and aluminum as the reductant, and relying on emitted response. It is not only a kind of process with the advantage of energy conservation, easy operation and economical, but also the main method to produce molybdenum iron.
