Zinc molybdate (ZnMoO4) containing Zn29%, Mo42.6%, O28.4%, the appearance of white powder, pure although it could be used as an anti-rust paint, but because of the high solubility in water, and more importantly, the price is too high difficult application. Thus, the general or basic zinc molybdate, zinc molybdate (ZnO · ZnMoO4) based, adding some calcium carbonate, or precipitated barium sulfate, talc, silica and the like made of composite pigment is white rust molybdate salt pigment, wherein a main component in addition to the outer zinc molybdate, calcium molybdate, or may contain strontium molybdate. Such pigments due to release molybdate ions, so that the compounds can be adsorbed on the steel surface to form in line with ferrous ions. Due to the effect of atmospheric oxygen, ferrous ion transitions high iron ions, such compounds are insoluble in line, so as to form a protective film and develop further corrosion of steel. The results show that there is the practical application of rust resistance, and can replace zinc chrome yellow pigment, it is a relatively new and effective rust species.
