Electrical oxidation process is improved by the molybdenite from sodium hypochlorite law that sets NaOCl generation and oxidative molybdenite as one in an electrolytic cell. Will have molybdenite mineral slurry feed containing sodium chloride solution was added to the cell, in the electro-oxidation process, bipolar electrochemical cell as follows:
Anodic electrochemical reaction: 2Cl-→ Cl2 + 2e
Cathode electrochemical reaction: 2H2O +2 e → 2OH-+ H2
Anode product Cl2 and reacts with water to produce hypochlorite OCl-. OCl-re-oxidation of sulfide minerals molybdenum, molybdenum to form into molybdate solution.
The electrochemical oxidation method provides a strong reducing ability and electrochemical changes by factors such as current density, electrode potential, the electrocatalytic activity and selectivity, relatively easy to control, regulate the direction of the reaction, limit speed. It inherits the sodium hypochlorite leaching rate, mild reaction conditions, pollution-free characteristics.
In order to improve the current efficiency electro-oxidation method to reduce energy consumption, the process of introducing ultrasound enhanced leaching. Ultrasound can significantly reduce the surface of the electrode cover to improve the electrolysis current, MoS2 promoting oxidative decomposition. Meanwhile in strong acid medium, medium Mn3 + / Mn2 + oxidation are strong, can MoS2 MoO3 and oxidative decomposition of sulfuric acid, and manganese ions can be recycled. Fu Jiangang using Mn3 + / Mn2 + Indirect Electro-oxidation wet decomposition molybdenite, molybdenum leaching rate was 88.5%. The above method can improve economic efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and response equipment is easy to solve, small investment, the condition is easy to control, easy to operate. But is still in the experimental stage, have not been able to achieve industrialization.
