JINDUICHENG Qinling molybdenum mine located in the south section of Huashan famous mining area 4.5 km2.

 

The mine was discovered in 1955 census, in 1958 into a detailed exploration in 1959, submitted a "County of Shaanxi Province Jinduicheng Molybdenum deposit in geological exploration final report." 1959 completion date 500t ore processing small plants. In 1966, the Japanese 500t ore mining and beneficiation pilot plant put into operation in 1970, the date of a 5000t ore mining project put into production in 1984, mining ore 15000 t day of the second phase is completed, for supporting the project project - County Lotus Temple smelter also officially put into operation in 1989, for becoming our mining, processing Jinduicheng molybdenum industry supporting major production base. Mine total proven reserves of 978 000 t, 0.099% molybdenum grade. According to industry indexes, molybdenum ore body delineation on the plane was approximately lentils body oval, length of 2200m, width 600 ~ 800m, a thickness of 500 ~ 700m. North and middle lenient, bare ground, the southern section of buried underground.

 

Molybdenum porphyry mineralization developed in its outer contact zone of biotite hornfels and of spilite within. Ore body in different directions criss fine stockwork components. Molybdenite veins output in the way:

① punctate distribution was disseminated in the gangue minerals;

② molybdenite sometimes leaves arranged radially in the veins;

③ veins along the walls were almost pure molybdenite film output;

④ molybdenite with quartz and white stripes were distributed;

⑤ molybdenite filled micro-cracks along the rocks, forming a fine molybdenite veins.

 

Molybdenum ore type, there are three natural: granite porphyry ore (25% of total reserves), variable spilite ore (70%), quartzite and slate ore (only 5%). Rock face type was characterized by hydrothermal alteration, that is, since porphyry outward roughly showing potassic, phyllic - suicide - propylitization rock-oriented zoning character.
