Electrode with a bubbling device

The electrode has two functions heating and bubbling, bubbling thermal energy produced by the electrode spread rapidly to prevent local heating, enhanced convection. The electrode consists of the following major components:

(1) inert gas imports and exports. An inert gas inlet into the cap electrode to prevent the air in contact with the electrode rod, the glass seal to prevent oxidation of the electrode below the transition zone in the molybdenum.
(2) thermocouples. Thermocouple electrode insertion depth of about 15cm, a thermocouple is used for the purpose to help workers to observe the operation of the bottom and the erosion of the electrodes, the temperature measured by the thermocouple is usually not exceed 700 ℃.
(3) the import and export of cooling water. Cooling water needs softening. Water inlet temperature at 42 ℃, outlet temperature below 56 ℃, flow rate of 2 × 10-6m3 / min. An electrode cap heat sucked about 117J/min. Further holes in the electrode, the electrode into the glass brick wrap to prevent oxidation of the molybdenum electrode, while the electrode on the electrode brick freeze.
(4) a nitrogen inlet. Bubbling nitrogen through the molten glass into the interior of the pipe molybdenum electrodes. N2 and Mo reaction occurs above 1350 ℃, generally not this temperature. Therefore N2 and Mo is not a chemical reaction.
