Cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy (CoCrMo) is a cobalt-based alloy, also commonly referred to as a Stellite (Stellite) alloys, is a wear and corrosion resistant cobalt-base alloys capability. Cobalt and chromium are two basic elements of a cobalt-based alloy, molybdenum can be added and, after fine grain casting or forging high strength. Cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy, is basically divided into two categories: CoCrMo alloy and CoNiCrMo alloys;

Cast CoCrMo alloys have been used in dentistry for decades, and is currently used to manufacture artificial joints, forged CoNiCrMo alloy used to manufacture heavy load to bear large joints such as the knee and hip joints.
